THORPE RECOVERY CENTRE

Walter A. “Slim” Thorpe Recovery Centre is a center that has many things to offer. First, it has a small space that serves as a detoxification center. It can hold up to six people and is a non-medical program. Additionally, there is an outpatient program as many people need intervention or counselling, and this part of the center can offer that. Then there is residential drug rehabilitation which can take in 28 people simultaneously. This program lasts 28 days and provides a wide range of activities which have as a goal the rehabilitation of the person suffering from substance abuse, both mentally and physically. To be accepted in this rehab treatment, clients must have been clean and sober for at least a week. They have a few government-funded beds with a fee of 1165$ for room and board.
