WAYSIDE HOUSE OF HAMILTON
Wayside House of Hamilton is a community-based charitable organization. It is committed to residential addiction treatment and supportive housing for males and transitional male youth by providing quality evidence-informed programming through integrated services and partnerships. They offer ten weeks of pre-rehab sessions with families or one-on-one counselling. Candidates who complete the pre-rehab are then referred to Alcohol and Drug Services in Whitehorse for recovery in preparation for the aftercare program. Aftercare counselling with male and female clients is done in separate groups. It includes a Medicine Wheel video series and other hands-on activities. The aftercare program lasts around 12 months.
