NELSON HOUSE MEDICINE LODGE

Nelson House offers a holistic recovery program for individuals of the First Nation community; this program aims to help clients develop healthier life habits. It also provides addiction rehabilitation treatment to clients; this program lasts eight weeks. They offer various in-house therapy sessions dealing with communication skills, colonization, addiction, trauma, emotional abuse, domestic issues, etc. They also provide therapy through cultural ceremonies to help the client who is distressed and spiritually heals. Other services may also be available, such as gender-specific individual sessions, self-care, educational sessions, family sessions, and many others.
