ALBERTA HEALTH SERVICES – ADULT & YOUTH COUNSELLING ATHABASCA

Alberta Health Services offers several prevention and recovery services to adults and adolescents. They offer Adult & Youth Counselling through outpatient counselling programs at the Athabasca center. It also provides integrated counselling and treatment services for addiction and co-occurring mental health issues. After screening for problems that could cause erratic behaviour, clients are directed to focused treatment. Their prevention programs offer alcohol, drug, and tobacco-related addiction counselling through group and community meetings. Addiction prevention sessions are held at schools and workplaces for the ease of the community and their welfare.
