ALBERTA HEALTH SERVICES – YOUTH INTENSIVE DAY TREATMENT PROGRAM

Alberta Health Services offers a comprehensive set of addiction treatment services that can help young people facing dependency issues. Those young clients that need severe addiction counselling but cannot join the residential treatment program are offered intensive day treatment. This program provides structured counselling and support services for after-school hours for 12 weeks. This program aims to guide young clients through individual and group counselling services, each designed to help the participant become productive and socially healthy. Their counselling program also uses an integrated approach to deal with co-occurring mental health issues causing destructive behaviour.
