CALDER CENTRE
Calder Centre Adult Program is a 38-bed inpatient program providing a supportive and safe environment to assist individuals with substance use through the stabilization tasks of recovery. The Centre uses the psychological, biological, social, and spiritual understanding of addiction and recovery. However, Calder Centre does not offer detox services for adults.
The program is designed for a four-week residential stay and offers flexibility to a shorter or extended length of visit, depending on the individual’s recovery process.
All programming provides education on substance use/abuse and counselling. It is group based and offers competency-based treatment to match individualized treatment goals.
Gender-specific treatment is provided based on research indicating that males and females differ in onset, consequences and substance use/abuse recovery.
